Frequently asked questions
What file should I send?
DXF is best, because the machine reads it directly. We also accept DWG and dimensioned PDF: in that case we redraw the profile, and we tell you beforehand because that time goes into the quotation.
What is the difference between plasma and laser?
Laser is more accurate on thin material and leaves a finer edge. High-definition plasma costs less and is faster on the medium and heavy gauges typical of fabrication work. If your part really needs laser, we say so rather than selling you something it is not.
Will you cut just one part?
Yes. The cost of a single part is affected by programming time, but we do not turn small jobs away: the one-off part is often where a customer relationship starts.
